This modern rooftop observatory has been employed in student instruction and research. Under the direction of Jay Reynolds, The Lakeland observatory and four of its astronomy students earned official scientific certification by The International Astronomical Union and the Minor Planet Center in 2006 (we believe). We are seeking further details and permission to visit and photograph the facility.
