The ACA has been a distinguished northeast Ohio organization since 1949.

The club completed the Akron area’s first public observatory in 1988. The ACA Observatory houses a Meade 16-inch LX200ACF, computerized Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope. The 16-inch replaced a 14-inch Meade in July 2013. The observatory has regularly scheduled public observing nights and is available for group tours by special arrangement.

Please contact the Astronomy Club of Akron directly; the page is not created or maintained by that club. BTW: Have you joined the American Astronomical Society? There may be contacts and career opportunities of benefit to you via that group. https://aas.org/join
